Tech Crime to Trial — work the case. Make the decisions. Take it to court.
A custom training portal powering a 4.5-day immersive ICAC course, from the first CyberTip to courtroom testimony.

Tech Crime to Trial is an immersive ICAC training from the Zero Abuse Project, delivered across five days for investigator-prosecutor teams. Led by ICAC investigations specialists, senior attorneys, and digital evidence experts, the course follows a single case from the initial CyberTip through investigation, case preparation, pretrial litigation, and courtroom testimony. The custom Tech Crime to Trial portal connects every stage of the experience: teams access evolving case information, review evidence, complete assignments, request forensic analysis, and manage investigative decisions as the case unfolds.
Traditional ICAC training tends to be lecture-based, and the moving pieces of a realistic case — tips, evidence, assignments, forensic results — are hard to run through paper handouts and slide decks. Instructors needed a way for teams to actually work a case together, with the consequences of their decisions carrying forward from day to day.
We built a custom training portal that runs alongside the in-person course. Teams sign in to access their case as it develops, review evidence, submit assignments, and request forensic analysis — while instructors manage teams and release new case material behind the scenes. A built-in AI assistant supports participants as they work, and the whole experience is mobile-friendly so it fits naturally into the training room.
A case that evolves with your decisions
The portal connects every stage of the experience — teams access evolving case information, review evidence, complete assignments, request forensic analysis, and manage investigative decisions as the case unfolds.
Five days, one continuous case
From following the digital trail and preparing the operation to executing search warrants, building the case, and defending the work in a mock motion hearing with cross-examination.
Built for investigator-prosecutor teams
Team-based access keeps investigators and prosecutors working the same case together, with admin tools for instructors to manage teams and release new material.
AI assistant on hand
A built-in AI assistant helps participants navigate case material and think through next steps during the training.
