"Honesty over hype."
Southwest Missouri
To help mission-driven teams use modern tools without losing their voice, ethics, or ability to manage the work themselves.

Stephanie Hall
Owner & Designer · Technology & Innovation Lead, Zero Abuse Project

She holds an M.S. in Human & Social Services and Nonprofit Administration from Walden University, and a B.S. in Sociology from Missouri State University.

Kyle Hall
Owner · Marketing Coordinator
Kyle leads marketing, communications, and brand strategy at Lilac Creative. In his full-time role as a Marketing Coordinator for a custom home building business in southwest Missouri, he's spent years translating complex work into public-facing communication that actually connects with the people on the other end.
His real skill is taking complicated nonprofit stories and giving them a clear shape — through campaigns, photography, video, and messaging that actually sounds like the people behind it.
We're not a big agency. That's the point.
Lilac Creative was built on the belief that good work happens through real relationships, thoughtful strategy, and a little curiosity. We partner with nonprofits, mission-driven organizations, and purpose-led teams to make technology feel less overwhelming and creative work feel more meaningful.
We're the people who get excited about solving problems, simplifying complicated ideas, and helping good organizations do more good.
9 years of working alongside the mission.
Child abuse prevention agencies, survivors, conservation-focused brands, tech companies, and many more — across Oregon, California, and as far as Tanzania.
A small team with a big vision.
Stephanie finished her Master's in Social Services & Nonprofit Administration, officially launching us into the NPO world.
Took on national work.
Went from a local-level nonprofit to a national nonprofit organization, and started seeing the same problems repeat across the sector.
Launched Lilac Productions.
Started the business (originally called Lilac Productions) and worked with nonprofit clients in Oregon, California, and as far away as Tanzania.
Found our niche.
Discovered the real calling — helping nonprofits modernize their digital presence without losing the voice and ethics that make them theirs.
Rebranded to Lilac Creative.
Same team, sharper focus. AI training, self-sustainable websites, and digital systems for mission-driven organizations.
Four things we actually believe.
Most studios list values that could apply to anyone. These are ours and they show up in the work — sometimes inconveniently.
Honesty over hype.
If AI isn't the right tool, we'll say so. If a smaller project would serve you better, we'll propose that. Selling more isn't the goal.
Clarity over cleverness.
Plain English beats jargon. A clear system beats a clever one. Anything worth building should be explainable to someone outside the project.
Sustainability over dependence.
If you can't run what we build after we leave, the project failed. Your team's confidence is the deliverable.
Ethics in the details.
Ethical work isn't a section in a contract — it's the choices made every Tuesday. Whose data, whose voice, whose time, whose dignity.
