We designed and developed FoodBoss HQ, a fully customized, interactive nutrition education platform built in Wix Studio to support families, educators, and community partners across Santa Barbara County. The project included UX strategy, visual design, technical architecture, CMS development, and automated user access workflows.
The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County needed a dynamic digital platform to extend their nutrition education programs beyond in-person classes and centralize educational resources for families, educators, and community partners.
Built a fully customized platform in Wix Studio featuring UX strategy, visual design, technical architecture, robust CMS development with four major collections, member access system with game gatekeeping, multilingual support, and automated workflows.
The client wanted an exciting hero section — the first thing constituents see when they land on the site. So we took their actual building mural and animated it into a video, bringing the artwork families recognize from their community space directly into the digital experience.
Brand-Aligned Website Design

Member Access System + Game Gatekeeping
Custom member system with login/signup flows, automated onboarding, and game access control. Only logged-in members can access the FoodBoss Town educational game.
Robust CMS Architecture
Structured CMS with four major collections: Flyers & Posters, Newsletters, Recipes, and Curriculum & Resources. Features editable fields, automated filtering, and dynamic pages.
Custom Program Pages
Three main hubs: Let's Learn (education hub), Let's Cook (recipe browser with filters), and Let's Play (game access with donation reminders).
Optimized Multilingual Support
Full Spanish translation using Wix's multilingual tools with auto-detection based on browser language.
Automations + System Integrations
Automated welcome emails, notification automations, donation reminders before gameplay, contact form routing, and integrated chatbot.
